List building

When to use: You have no list yet (or a weak one) and need a plan for who to reach and how to source them — signal/trigger-based, contact databases, or waterfall enrichment.

List building helps you plan or audit how to build a prospect list across three sourcing motions: signal/trigger-based sourcing, contact databases, and waterfall enrichment / data aggregation. It picks and sequences the right motion for your ICP, trigger, and seed data, and scores an existing plan for gaps (freshness, coverage, dedupe, compliance).

It plans and scores only — it does not scrape, purchase data, call vendor APIs, or write to your CRM/SEP, and it does not need an OutboundSync API key. It names tool categories, not vendors; to check whether a specific data tool is live for your CRM, use Integrations.

I’ll draft a sourcing plan — pick the motion (signal, database, or waterfall enrichment), sequence source → verify → enrich → dedupe/suppress, and set a data-freshness bar. Plan only; I won’t scrape, buy data, or write to your CRM.

  • A sourcing plan: the motion, ordered steps (source → verify → enrich → dedupe/suppress → load), and a data-freshness/confidence bar
  • Or an audit scorecard rating ICP fit, motion fit, freshness, coverage vs precision, dedupe/suppression, and compliance
  • Explicit watchouts (cost, overlap, consent) instead of invented coverage or match-rate numbers
  1. Know your ICP (firmographic + role) and any trigger/seed data you have.
  2. Install the skill (no OutboundSync API key):
Terminal window
npx skills add outboundsync/skills --skill list-building -g

OpenClaw and hooks: Install skills.

Once you have a list, hand off to Outbound offer, Cold email body, or Omnichannel campaigns. Full rubric and patterns: skills/list-building/.
