EmailBison

When to use this guide: Read this before configuring EmailBison with OutboundSync to confirm what the integration covers today.

OutboundSync connects EmailBison to HubSpot and Salesforce as a one-way sync, sending email campaign activity into your CRM as events occur and backfilling contact, lead, and account fields when the matching record is missing data.

EmailBison runs cold-email campaigns with sequence-level tagging and reply categorization. OutboundSync receives the EmailBison webhook events, normalizes them into CRM activities, and writes them onto the matching contact, lead, or company record so reps and reporting work from a single timeline.

When EmailBison’s payload includes contact, job, or company information that the CRM record is missing, OutboundSync also backfills those fields on first match.

  • Email sends, manual sends, opens, replies, automated replies, bounces, and unsubscribes
  • Lead interest signals and reply classification
  • Tags attached and tags removed
  • Campaign IDs, names, and timestamps on every activity

When EmailBison includes the data, OutboundSync fills in missing fields on existing records:

  • HubSpot — contact name backfill and company object name backfill
  • Salesforce — Contact and Account name backfill, Lead name/title/company backfill
  • DTOs carry job_title and company_name from EmailBison so they can be mapped onto the destination record
  • HubSpot — direct integration
  • Salesforce — direct integration
  • Close — supported during the current Close beta
  • One-way sync. Data flows EmailBison → CRM. Updates in HubSpot or Salesforce are not written back to EmailBison.
  • Email channel only. Phone and social are out of scope.
  • Guided setup. Setup is currently handled with the OutboundSync team during onboarding.
