Your integration options
Can I use an existing tool?
HighLevel is available as a direct beta CRM connection in OutboundSync. Connect the HighLevel sub-account in OutboundSync, then work with the team to create the source and confirm the first Contact note. The HighLevel rollout is intentionally lighter than Salesforce or HubSpot: it is one-way only and writes a plain-text Note on the matched Contact. The advantage is a clean way to log Smartlead activity on HighLevel Contacts without custom middleware.

Tapcheck How onboarding works
- Connect HighLevel: Add HighLevel as a Connected Account in OutboundSync and authorize the HighLevel sub-account (Location) with OAuth. The HighLevel email must match the OutboundSync user.
- Connect Smartlead: Connect Smartlead and select it when creating your HighLevel webhook receiver.
- Create the webhook receiver: Work with the OutboundSync team to create the HighLevel webhook receiver so Smartlead activity can flow into HighLevel.
- Run a test sync: Confirm Smartlead activity as a plain-text Note on a real HighLevel Contact before launch.
- Go live with the OutboundSync team: Launch with guided source setup and confirm the first production Note in HighLevel.

Need clarification?
-
What data does OutboundSync write to HighLevel?
OutboundSync syncs one-way email activity from Smartlead as a plain-text Note on the matched HighLevel Contact. -
Which HighLevel objects can it update?
Each event writes a plain-text Note on the matched or created HighLevel Contact. Companies, opportunities, pipelines, and tasks are not part of the beta. See the HighLevel CRM beta guide for lookup methods and setup. -
Do I need admin access to set it up?
Yes. Connect HighLevel from CRM Settings in OutboundSync with Location OAuth. The HighLevel email must match the OutboundSync user. Source setup and the first test Note are handled with the OutboundSync team. -
Is the HighLevel integration one-way or two-way?
HighLevel beta is one-way only. Activity flows from your sales engagement platform into HighLevel. -
Can synced Notes be used in HighLevel filters and views?
Yes. Teams can use the synced Notes on Contacts in the filters and views they build in HighLevel. OutboundSync does not ship prebuilt filters or views. -
Can I do this with Zapier, Make, or n8n?
For lightweight Smartlead automations, yes. But when teams need dependable CRM attribution and suppression sync, generic builders become expensive and brittle at scale. OutboundSync is pre-built, keeps searchable historical logs beyond 30 days, and prices by sequencer usage volume instead of workflow step count. -
When do I need a custom integration instead of no-code automation?
Choose custom only if you want to maintain webhook parsing, schema changes, and CRM app requirements internally. OutboundSync provides a native CRM application with managed support, consistent properties across tool changes, and compliance controls including SOC 2 Type II and a live Trust Center. -
What breaks first when this scales?
Smartlead at scale usually exposes ordering and retry issues first. OutboundSync handles duplicate protection, idempotency, buffering, and suspicious or mismapped activity workflows so operations teams can keep reporting and routing stable under bursty load. -
How is this Smartlead HighLevel integration priced?
HighLevel beta access is handled with the OutboundSync team. We scope the current rollout based on platform, volume, and setup requirements during onboarding. -
Which Smartlead tier/plan do I need?
OutboundSync requires Smartlead's Pro (or higher) plan, because it relies on Smartlead's webhook and API features.
