SuperSend + Close integration

SuperSend sends the cold email; Close is where reps follow up. OutboundSync logs every SuperSend event on the matching Close Lead so the handoff is instant.

SuperSend + Close at a glance

SuperSend works with Close through OutboundSync. SuperSend email sends, opens, link clicks, replies, bounces, unsubscribes, and interested leads are logged as activity on the matching Close Lead. The sync is one-way, SuperSend into Close, and the OutboundSync team handles onboarding and the first test sync.

SetupGuided: the OutboundSync team runs onboarding

Close is built around fast follow-up, which only works if reps know who replied. OutboundSync moves SuperSend replies and the interested flag onto the Close Lead as they arrive, so the rep can call or email back from Close without checking a second tool.

Opens and clicks come along too. They're a useful tiebreaker when a rep has more leads than time: someone who opened three emails and clicked a link is a better call than someone who never looked.

SuperSend + Close FAQ

  • What SuperSend activity does OutboundSync sync to Close?
Email sent, email opened, link clicked, reply received, email bounced, lead unsubscribed, and lead marked interested.
  • Which Close records does it write to?
OutboundSync matches or creates Close Leads. SuperSend events land as activity on the Close Lead. See the Close beta guide for details.
  • Does the SuperSend connection cover channels beyond email?
No. The SuperSend integration covers email events only: sends, opens, clicks, replies, bounces, unsubscribes, and interested leads.
  • Is the integration one-way or two-way?
One-way. Activity flows from SuperSend into Close, and nothing is written back to SuperSend.
  • Can I use Close records as a block list?
Not today. Block lists come from HubSpot lists or Salesforce reports. The Close beta syncs activity in only.
  • Do I need admin access to set it up?
A Close admin authorizes OutboundSync from the Close App Marketplace during guided onboarding.
  • Which SuperSend plan do I need?
OutboundSync works with every SuperSend plan. The webhook and API features it relies on are included on all of them.
  • How is SuperSend + Close priced?
Beta access is scoped with the OutboundSync team during onboarding. Billing follows the same model as every plan: sent messages per month. Replies, opens, clicks, and lead-category updates are not billed. See the pricing page.
  • Can I do this with Zapier, Make, or n8n?
Yes, for lightweight automation. Zapier, Make, and n8n are good for prototypes and simple routing, but they need ongoing maintenance and bill by task or step. OutboundSync is pre-built for outbound CRM sync, keeps searchable event logs beyond 30 days, and prices by outbound volume.
  • What breaks first when this scales?
Data quality and reliability break first: duplicate events, retries, out-of-order webhooks, and bursts during big sends. OutboundSync handles idempotency, timing buffers, and queue recovery, and flags suspicious or mismapped payloads instead of writing them.
