Prior Outreach Lookup API
You can now look up a contact in OutboundSync with an email address or a social profile. This is built for sales teams who want to get more converted leads out of their outbound motion.
How it works
GET /api/v1/contacts/outreach is the call. Pass an email, a social profile URL, or both.
With this endpoint, you get:
- The last touch and days since that touch
- Whether they bounced or unsubscribed
- The full history we logged (sends, opens, replies, etc.)
- And which platform they came from
If there was never an outbound touch, we’ll return that back to you too.
Here’s an example of how you could feed existing events into a workflow using a tool like Clay, Freckle, or Databar:

Sample use case
Someone replies and you want to follow up without guessing what already went out, or don’t want to rely on just the partial event history. This is useful after multiple sends, when one converts, so your rep knows the full context.
The same idea after another trigger like a run of opens, a click, some other event. Say they never reply, but have multiple opens or clicks, your rep can be set up for success when they go to pick up the phone.
Available now in public beta
Prior Outreach lookup is in public beta. Create a key under Connected accounts → API keys. If you need it enabled on the account, email service@outboundsync.com.
