Partner spotlight: Salesforce
Salesforce is the world’s leading CRM and one of the primary destinations OutboundSync writes into, as a live, two-way integration.
Who’s behind Salesforce
Salesforce was founded in 1999 by Marc Benioff, Parker Harris, Dave Moellenhoff, and Frank Dominguez in a small apartment in San Francisco. They built the company on a few breakthrough bets: delivering software over the cloud, selling it by subscription, and building philanthropy into the company from day one. Marc Benioff remains chair and CEO.
What Salesforce does
Salesforce is the deep, customizable CRM that large and complex organizations build their revenue operations on. Its strength is flexibility and scale — it can be tailored to almost any sales process, which is why enterprises with complex needs standardize on it.
How Salesforce structures your data
Salesforce organizes everything around standard objects — Leads, Accounts, Contacts, and Opportunities — that you extend with custom objects and fields to fit your process. Records connect through lookup and master-detail relationships, so a contact rolls up to an account and an opportunity ties back to both. It logs every touchpoint on the Activity object as a Task or Event, which is where outbound work lands next to the record it belongs to.
Flow, its automation engine, fires when records or activities change — routing leads, updating fields, creating follow-up tasks — with Apex for custom logic. On top sit Einstein and Agentforce, the AI layer that scores records, drafts messages, and runs autonomous agents against CRM data. Reports and dashboards give revenue teams near-real time visibility into pipeline and forecast.
How it works with OutboundSync
OutboundSync syncs outbound email and social activity onto your Salesforce records — two-way — so the outreach your team runs in tools like Smartlead, Instantly, or HeyReach lands on the right lead, contact, and account, next to everything else your reps work from in Salesforce.
For setup details, see the Salesforce integration page.
Related integrations
Outbound tools like Smartlead, Instantly, EmailBison, HeyReach, and Clay all sync into Salesforce through OutboundSync. The full list is on our integrations page.
